Hey this is Corey, we as a band appreciate all your support for Gateways of the City and hope to continue seeing you guys, although I myself have left the band. I am still singing and am interested in getting together with other bands in the future. I chose to leave the band at this time due to a few personal reasons as well as the birth of Carson Dade! For those that chose to hang out at One Eighty and watched us play a show, we apprecite it so much. We are in the process of making our music even more enjoyable and work hard doing so, so if ya enjoy, leave us a comment, if you think we need to make a change, leave a comment! We have been blessed w/ the opportunity to play in Deep Ellum again at the Galaxy Club! If you can make it, show up, we need all the support we can get! We are looking to get a weekend spot in the Deep Ellum area for our summer tour, so if ya need a ride, leave us a comment here or on our myspace, and we'll see if we can make room for some to carpool w/ us or some member of our crew!

Ritas, in Nacogdoches!!

Hey everyone, we had an awesome show in Nac over the weekend! We got to play w/ a load of awesome bands, hang out w/ friends, go nuts in the mosh pit, meet alot of cool new people and play w/ new bands! So for this update, im gonna do what i always do, and post about how much i appreciate the people that come to the shows, the bands that come to play shows w/ us, and the bands that invite us out to shows....a few in particular being Delusions of Granduer, Ana Leisa, The Pledge (sorry you guys didnt make it to Nac), Supa, A Scenic Rememberance, Dead By Morning, Loco Phylum, and im sure there are more, but we still love you guys...and I also wanna thank our crew that comes out w/ us, a few being Cody aka Squirrely, Slack, Dallyce, my cuz Amanda (Prez of our street team!) Courtney, Smashley, Misty, Papa Day, BABY MOMMA (for supporting me in music the past couple years, and especially the past few months lol), my lil cuz Mike (aka lil bam margera), Jason Weidner and his crew (Graphic Innovations!), BIG SHOW, and whoever i forgot, im sorry! im tired, busy, and have 327977778463621 things on my mind lol, so on w/ some pics!!!

another show!

hey whats goin on peeps! we had a pretty nice show at the Lions Den on Saturday, and despite the weather, still had a decent crowd!!!! we appreciate all the bands that showed to play (Johnny Empire, Blue Collar Citizens, The Pledge, Ana Leisa, A Scenic Rememberance) and all the people that came out to play. Hopefully next time the weather will be better so we can have a better turnout! The bands that played did very well, and from what ive seen, me singing alongside Tex w/ Gateways of the City has a good response, so thanks for the comments on that folks, it means alot to me. We will be playing a show in Deep Ellum this Wednesday (22nd) at the Curtain Club, this will be one of the biggest venues we have played, and is a great place to get our music out, so if you can PLEASE SHOW UP, i swear we will make it up to you somehow!! i know thats a hard day to pull off...but if you can, we will be so greatful! after the Curtain Club we will be playing a show this saturday (25th) at Rita's in Nacogdoches! real easy to get there...there are like 8 bands playing i think, gonna start around 4 i believe, check www.myspace.com/gatewaysofthecity for more details! we really appreciate you guys...so here we go w/ a few pics of a couple bands that played....and i sang, so no GOTC pics lol sorry peeps

MOSH PIT...this is where the REAL magic happens....you guys saw pics last time when i got in the REAL pit....i had a burn on my face from gettin elbowed (hehe, pleasure pain) so hard i was knocked silly and my teeth hurt for 3 days heh....but this time, i just got pulled down on the ground by a guy, and then someone stepped on my face...right on the tip of my nose! good times

k....this guy is an AMAZING drummer...so someone leave me a comment and tell me his name and what band he's with....lets see what you know about the local talent EAST TEXAS.....if your in one of the bands, DONT ANSWER lol leave it to the general public/fans

and one more time....lets see if you guys can name this guitarist, what band he WAS with...and what band he is with now....DANG THATS A GOOD PIC....i thought i was a singer/manager....maybe a former photographer in my former life....not that i believe in re-incarnation

the last pic i got off before my cam died...stupid batteries..someone needs to kick that bunny in the balls for being a liar...anyway, this is Ana Leisa from Nac, they are a Hardcore band, and they definately jam...come visit GOTC, few of the band listed above, and more, this weekend in Nac at Rita's!!!

Been a REALLY busy week and gonna be a busy weeked.....the past weekend we played 3 shows....Cantons last friday...180 early saturday, then Corner Pocket later saturday, we had a really good time, we appreciate everyone that showed up to show their support, and hope everyone enjoyed all the bands that played! SO for this update, i have pics from some of the past shows, and some of the LIONS DEN show we had last weekend....i will have more LIONS DEN pics after the rest of the camera crew decides to bring their cameras to me so i can post them! But before the pics show up, WE just wanna thank everyone for comin out and showing your support for the local bands in this area, and your support for GATEWAYS OF THE CITY. We are still in the process of making our street team to help advertise for us and promote shows etc....and the members of the street team will get 1 free admission to 1 show per month, free t shirts, hats, cd's etc, so contact Corey (chase103tx here on xanga) for more info on that. So GOTC will be taking a break this weekend...a much needed break...so we as a band can kinda catch up w/ our friends, relatives and such, so sorry no shows yet...but next weekend we will be playing friday night at CANTONS, then saturday the 4th at the CORNER POCKET in Kilgore with Naked Sky! We wanna thank Naked Sky for throwing the invite our way, and we look forward to playing more shows with these guys...so enjoy the pics and we hope to see all of you readers out there at the shows!
